The University of Winnipeg is primarily an undergraduate institution of approximately 10,000 students focused on teaching at the undergraduate level.
In 1999, the University of Winnipeg Athletic Therapy program was one of the first programs accredited by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association.

WFATT Student Club
The first ever WFATT Student Club meeting was help in conjunction with the South Carolina Athletic Training Students' Association (USA) as they heard from Craig Eilbacher on "Working as an Athletic Trainer for the Olympics Games."
