MATT KUTZ TO BE AWARDED 2023 MOST DISTINGUISHED ATHLETIC TRAINER BY THE NATA
Dr. Matt Kutz, Vice President of the WFATT, will be awarded the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer award by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association at the 2023 NATA Convention in Indianapolis.
Dr. Matthew Kutz is a Clinical Professor for the Department of Athletic Training of the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and is a world renowned and award-winning author, educator, and researcher. He has been a featured guest on TV, podcasts, and radio, presented on the TEDx stage, and consults with Fortune 500 and multinational corporations. He was a 2013 Fulbright Scholar in the Medical Sciences to The University of Rwanda’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences and 2017 Visiting Research Fellow to Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. In 2020 Dr. Kutz was named the GLATA Outstanding Educator. His passion is to be a global advocate for athletic trainers and equip AT’s to be high performing leaders.
Dr. Kutz served as Chair of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a member of the senior editorial team for the Athletic Training Education Journal, Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Sports Medicine and Allied Health Science, serves on the NATA’s International Committee, and is a charter member of the CAATE Professional Standards and Ethics Committee.
